Launch of SG Youth Action Plan and Somerset Belt

In May 2019, the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) launched the SG Youth Action Plan, empowering young Singaporeans to envision and shape the nation’s future.

As part of the SG Youth Action Plan, more than 9,000 youths have been engaged on envisioning how the Somerset Belt can be transformed.

Transforming Somerset into a Youth-Centric Hub

Released in February 2020, the Somerset Belt Masterplan is a distillation of the views of youths, capturing the collective vision of our youths for the Somerset Belt to be a physical manifestation of the diverse talents, aspirations, and creativity of youths in Singapore.

SG Youth Plan

The SG Youth Plan is a five-year action plan created by youths, for youths, and supported by all of us.

It holds the hopes and aspirations of Singaporean youths for themselves and for Singapore, outlines their plan of action to do good for Singapore, supported through opportunities, platforms, and resources, and details ideas for how everyone can play a part in empowering youths to be the best versions of themselves.
